The UK has very lax legislation regarding how accurate a company’s SIC code has to be. As such, there is a large degree of inaccuracy in the SIC codes UK companies have listed.
Our best fit SIC code algorithm uses open source data such as adverts, social media and job listings to identify if there is a more accurate SIC code for the company. This is listed as the best fit SIC code.
